Tyrer Tours are a family owned company with a heritage stretching back over 30 years, opperating scheduled bus services.
We pride ourselves on our service, reliability and a commitment to excellence, which has served us well and our distinctive livery is now well recogised in Lancashire and the North West.
Facilities
We operate from a well-equipped depot, at Lomeshaye Industrial Estate in Nelson. Our modern facilities provide us with the ability to fully maintain our vehicles, ensuring both high standards of cleanliness and repair, and the utmost reliability.
 | A brief history of Tyrer Tours
In 1972 R.S.Tyrer & Sons were formed at Adlington near Chorley.
Bob Tyrer went into partnership with his father who had been a coach driver for 30 years and during that partnership he acquired valuable experience in the Coaching Industry.
With the firm expanding Bob formed his own company called New City Coachways, so called because he was based in the proposed new city area of Leyland, Chorley and Preston.
In 1978 he bought the old established Barnoldswick Firm of Wild Brothers Excursions and moved his operation over to East Lancashire

Later acquisitions included locally famous transport names such as Shutts of Burnley and Kirkbright of Colne and a move was made from Barnoldswick to premises at Trawden, where the firm was based until the recent move to a larger site on Lomeshaye Industrial Estate where the 40+ employees and the fleet of around 28 vehicles are now based.
